SubRip is a free software application for Microsoft Windows that extracts the movie's timing and subtitles from various video formats into a text file. It comes with an optional feature of saving the decoded subtitles as Bitmaps for future reference. SubRip can also be used to rip DVDs from video CDs. SubRip comes with a GUI tool that lets you browse the video files to be copied. The built-in converter allows you to specify the bitrates of the video files.

To convert the video files to text, you need to launch SubRip and then choose the browse option from the main menu. You will then be given a list of files in the 'Video' directory to browse.
